Scottish Mag 3
Update: johnsmeaton.com is melting the internet - apologies for the problems Over 1,000 pints are paid for and metaphorically lined up, on the bar at the Glasgow Airport Holiday Inn, with John Smeaton’s name on them.. As at this very moment, 1729 hours BST, in the Paypal account are the names of one thousand and thirty five people who have paid their dues to Smeato. It’s going to be a Hell of a night, and we’re going to need a big bar for everyone who has put their money where their mouth is (and John’s feet were). John will be thirsty no more. themags 0
come on people get it signed The signatories to this petition demand that John Smeaton be awarded a knighthood or an equally appropriate award of bravery for his actions in preventing the serious loss of life at Glasgow Airport on 30 June 2007. John Smeaton is a man who, in the face of terrorism of an international scale, put aside concerns for his own personal safety to protect the lives of his fellow man. On 30 June 2007, he tackled a terrorist in the midst of carrying out an attack on Glasgow Airport, intent on causing serious loss of life. But for the brave and selfless actions of Mr Smeaton, nobody was harmed and human life was preserved. This is a man whose actions truly deserve to be recognised and the signatories to this petition believe he should be honoured in the most appropriate way deemed possible. http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/JohnSmeaton/
