The Spice Girls officially announced today that all five original members will reunite and perform for 11 concerts around the world in December and January. The concerts will be the first time they've performed together since breaking up in 2001, and they're expected to make about $20 million each. Which is nice, because I think most of them were getting sick of eating cat food and sleeping in dumpsters. Besides Posh, have any of them done anything except become old and unemployed? If this thing falls through I just hope Wal-Mart lets them have their jobs back.

Money well deserved of course...

Haven't aged amazingly well either tbh.

I'd rather shag her like. Sporty was on my flight to Rome a couple of years ago. She was in first class though. Quite smart in real life.

I like the way the Spice Girls are portrayed as evil money grabbing whore's, but The Verve are giving their fans what they want.

That's because the Verve have fans. I doubt that Spice Girls have retained a fan base in the manner that Take That have.

Of course, some would look at some of the music some of those on this thread listen to and cast similar disdain. Listen and let listen, I say.

You can be pretty sure that The Verve will write their new album though and perform it with instruments themselves. Significant differences tbh

Of course neither group are doing it for charitable reasons but McCabe and Ashcroft at least have the wit to know that they work best together and will get some artistic benefit from it.

OMG R33L MUSIK LOL

(That said, the Spice Girls had co-writing credits on all their hits IIRC. Whether you believe they had much input is, of course, an entirely different matter...)

No but gram has a point, The Verve are making new music so as a band they are contributing new material, the Spice Girls are just travelling the world miming to their old hits, they're not taking the trouble to create anything new.

Still, fair play to them if they can make £10m for old rope.
