jaythesouthernmag 0
It`s a lot of cash thats for sure plus I think Spurs have a decent strike force anyway. It will be interesting to see who`s out the door. Plus they are supposed to be in for SWP, chucking the cash about a bit.mmmmm LEEDS?

TheInspiration 1
Good player, but £16.5 million - I had to laugh at that one.

ewerk 31587
Nah, he only signed for Bolton last year, they paid £8m and would probably be looking to make a profit on that, I'd say he might be available for around the £10m mark.

newcastlebroon 0
what a rip off. Bent and berbatov upfront pisses on a martins and owen combo tbh. Edited June 29, 2007 by newcastlebroon
geordieshandy 0
You could see why Charlton were forcing the price up though, considering Ipswich were receiving a substantial portion of the fee, and that whilst he's not the top goal scorer in the league, he is the top English goalscorer, a goal every other game. Plus for Spurs, he's only 23 (?) so there'll be a canny resale value. I'm not saying that he's worth that sort of money but you can see why the valuation was reached.
