It`s a lot of cash thats for sure plus I think Spurs have a decent strike force anyway. It will be interesting to see who`s out the door. Plus they are supposed to be in for SWP, chucking the cash about a bit.mmmmm LEEDS?

either way, he'll be cheaper than Bent

Nah, he only signed for Bolton last year, they paid £8m and would probably be looking to make a profit on that, I'd say he might be available for around the £10m mark.

You could see why Charlton were forcing the price up though, considering Ipswich were receiving a substantial portion of the fee, and that whilst he's not the top goal scorer in the league, he is the top English goalscorer, a goal every other game. Plus for Spurs, he's only 23 (?) so there'll be a canny resale value. I'm not saying that he's worth that sort of money but you can see why the valuation was reached.
