Tom 14021
I wouldnt mind the carling logo on the shirt, looks better than Northern Rock... Nowhere near as good as Newcastle Brown ale though...

I quite like the local connection. And as Dan says, might as well be special brew if we have Carling. I hope alcohol sponsors are banned.
Brock Manson 0
Does this mean we'll have Carling on our shirts next season then? Not next season probably the season after that how crap a shirt sponsor would that be? may as well be ace lager. i wouldn't mind stella or guiness but carling for fuck's sake? I thought there was a ban on alcohol suppliers advertising on shirts now? Yup. Rangers, Celtic, and the Scouse clubs all banned from having alcohol suppliers as sponsors now. The Fish 11074
I'm guessing you mean that all teams are banned, but those three are examples of teams who used to have alcohol sponsors.

The Mighty Hog 536
The only alcohol sponsorship banning has been on kids replica kits. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6717225.stm
Tom 14021
Id rather have a beer sponsor than anything else tbh, Shows alligience to both causes tbh
The Fish 11074
wouldn't really want Carling sponsoring us. I'd prefer
sammynb 3640
I wish we were sponsored by Hoegaarden! Best beer in the world, fact. The Hoe's good wellsy, erdinger is better. As much as I'd like the dog to be the shirt (jersey for you fish ) sponsor, it's not as if it's Newcastle brown anymore is it?
AmericanMag 0
On my visit to SJP I remember stepping into Shearer's bar after a pint in the Strawberry... took one look at the place and went back to the Strawberry. I could go to any bar in any town in the states to get the same atmosphere! And coors??? I wouldn't drink that here...
Tom_NUFC 0
Grolsch is OK - nothing more, but you can bet it'll be watered down inside SJP thereby rendering it horrible. All the others are f*cking horrid.
Matt 0
This has got nowt to do with shirts, just what kind of warm shite you can pay too much for in the stands.

luckyluke 2
Evidently. It's not as if it tastes particularly bad - it doesn't really taste of anything apart from generic lager.

ewerk 31587
Tastes watered down, even when it isn't. God knows why anyone would drink C2 unless they're driving.
