Happy Face 29
Little known fact... Pete's Snooker loopy older brother Ken hasn't spoken to him since their parents split up in 1983. 29232 They're brothers? Didn't know that.. 29236 Yeah. Pete was quite good at snooker too, but decided to become a smackhead, junky, ratboy instead when he went to Cockney.

Tom_NUFC 0
thought Bobby Gillespie was bad enough but at least he's a decent musician. 28884 Aye. I don't mind Bobby Gillespie. He's pretty much constantly pissed and fucked on drugs like, but at least he hasn't been a waster and a complete arse like Doherty. He's never let it fuck his bands up either. I like The Libertines, but Doherty completely fucked that up for all of them, and has pretty much done the same with Babyshambles before they've done much. Guest Sima
Its a con man. Yes hes a smackhead, but he knows what hes doing, and he knows how to play the media game. (yes that is basically stolen from an interview with Kasabian about him, but its spot on). 29216 Knows what he is doing.
Happy Face 29
NME readers hate him too NME polled 10,000 music fans about the highlights and lowlights of this year`s festival circuit, from Glastonbury to Reading. Babyshambles were named the most disappointing act after a series of shambolic performances. Doherty, boyfriend of supermodel Kate Moss, reached a new low at the Leeds festival when he reportedly headbutted Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell backstage. His performance with Sir Elton John at Live 8 was also widely seen as a disaster. "Pete Doherty`s turbulent love life has done little in the eyes of music fans," an NME spokeswoman said. Foo Fighters were voted the best band of the summer, followed by Kasabian and hotly tipped newcomers Arcade Fire in joint second place. Oasis, who topped the worst band list last year, have turned their fortunes around this year and are fourth in the best band list. Kaiser Chiefs, unlucky losers in the Nationwide Mercury Prize this week, were voted the unexpected hit of the summer. The NME Festival Poll also asked fans to name the best festival of the year. Glastonbury came top with 25% of the vote, narrowly beating Reading, which polled 24%. The survey also revealed that drug-taking was down at this year`s festivals. Beer and cigarettes were the choice for 36% of fans, with only 25% admitting to smoking marijuana and 11% taking pills. "Festival-goers are less rock`n`roll than in previous years," the NME spokeswoman said. So WHO actually likes him? 5 people at the Sun and NME? Rob W 0
People will put up with jsut about anything IF you perform - but Doherty spends more time talking about his personal life - of which I care little - if he wants to be a drug fiend that's his choice after all - and no time working on his act Baby shambles are exactly that - a shambles normally His Live8 performance was a true embarrasment Being a drug fiend doesn't stop you from performing - but you have to be in some sort of control - Doherty is not in control of anything IMHO

Whilst i think any people overdoing drugs are idiots, theres no doubting that paritcularly in days gone by rock stars could write, create and perform live to amazing standards despite being off their tits! So if they can do it and want to take drugs, thats their choice and to be fair with the older rock stars it was always about their music with the drink and drugs a side issue. With Doherty its about the fact he's a prick and a smack head with the music as a minor aside.

Then again, maybe you're right I take it you mean Kate Moss, yeah? I thought they had split up a long while back. Mind you, I wouldn't touch her with yours - she's far too skinny for me. Billy Castell 0
It probably makes me a bad person, but I want to see that junkie cockhole put away for 10 years, and wouldn't be sad to see him die in prison. As stated before, artists and other walks of life have had figures producing the goods despite their addictions, but Pete is a talentless little smackrat who steals from friends robs the world of oxygen and until now got away with repeated drugs offences. I have no sympathy for him at all, it was his choice start taking that crap and end up using it in industrial quantities. People his age should realise that the heavy duty shit should be avoided-it's the message in all the dramas on TV, at school and so on. I also hate the 18 year old T4 watching, Camden tight trousered brigade who think he is some sort of genius. He is a waste of blood and organs, and should be used by the Marines as target practice. After all, his habits fund the Taliban.
