Gemmill 47212
did anyone really go to see this show? Aye. Under duress. And thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm not sure what HF's biggest concern was anyway, the price of a ticket he was never gonna purchase, or the seating plan for a seat he was never gonna occupy. Anyway, good old Rodders put on a quality show and a good time was had by all.
tinofbeans 91
sounds alright. did his voice crack? and did he mention celtic and newcastle during the show?
Gemmill 47212
Aye, there was the odd bit of Celtic propaganda. Did "Dirty Old Town" as a tribute to Jimmy Johnstone and there were a few Celtic flags/strips in the crowd. Someone hoyed one at him so he had it draped round him at one point. Silly bitches taking their bras off and waving them about as well. Said it was an honour to play in such a great football stadium, good luck for next season, and that we deserved the Champions League. I would have mentioned it on here yesterday too but I had the day off so was barely on. And no to "Hot Legs"........"D'ya think I'm sexy" however was a different matter entirely. Ipswich and Coventry will deserve to be in the Premiership in the near future as well.

sweetleftpeg 0
Aye, I hate it when you go to a gig and they try to arselick the locals. 'This is my favourite city/venue/crowd on the tour.' 'I'm not just saying this, but you've been the by far the most amasing crowd we've played to this tour.' etc etc ad nauseum. The only artist I've ever believed say this is Neil Finn, as he was going on about how he liked the City Hall as it looked a lot like his local concert hall in New Zealand so it reminded him of home. manc-mag 1
Gemmill at a Rod Stewart gig! The fashion police must have had to deploy a thirty strong swat team to bring him down-as though the emergency services aren't overstretched as it is! Toonpack 10432
Ledge. He was very good last night, I'm an old ferker and listened to him in the 70's. Can't argue with his staying power and to say he's shit is a nonsense, his music may be dated but he's produced the odd classic in his time, so he deserves a level of respect. Never went to see him when I was younger, but having seen him last night now regret not seeing him in his prime when I had numerous chances to do so. It was even better for me and the mem sahib last night as I didn't pay for the tickets Edited June 26, 2007 by Toonpack
sweetleftpeg 0
I've always thought he was a right ugly bastid, even in his younger days, but the man certainly gets the stunners so you can't argue with that.
