Shearer can say what he wants, when he wants, to whomever he wants. He may be ostensibly linked to the club, but it strikes me as little more than a hollow title and as such he's free to express opinions about the rumours surrounding the club. I genuinely believe this was a question asked by someone who'd heard a rumour, blindsided Shearer at a Q&A and Alan gave frank and honest answer. but if we can take a breath and admit that he won't be coming, all this will quietly disappear under the next non-story the papers create Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
