Isegrim 10049 Posted June 16, 2007 Share Posted June 16, 2007 I've a Pentax istDL and can only recommend it. The best semi-professional camera imho. My old camera was a Pentax as well (so one reason was that I can use my old lenses). The problem I have with Nikon but especially Canon cameras are that they are overdoing it with electronic settings etc. and making everything far too complicate so that you have to push too many buttons to make a simple photo. Pentax cameras in comparison are rather simple in comparison and much more than old cameras. I don't know about prices in the UK, but Pentax cameras are also often rather cheap in comparison (you get more value for money in comparison to equal Nikons/Canons).
