I wonder how Liverpool fans feel about now having a big fat loudmouth as chairman? For years you never heard a peep from the boardroom or soundbyte to SSN, they always just backed their manager. All of a sudden, these new owners are giving a new quote every week about "Snoogy Doogy" or the above.

If we are able to sign the quartet of Barton, Ben Haim, Rozenahl and Viduka within two week for a combined fee of 8m it even more proves how cackhanded our transfer dealing was in the last couple of transfer windows...

So Wigan want a centre back partnership of Bramble and O'Brien?? ;)

Rob Hulse and Danny Murphy too. What odds are you getting on them being relegated this season?

Betfair is only giving just over evens for relegation but they're giving about 5/1 for them to finish dead last.

I'm not getting a trouser tent at the thought of Hyppia unless he's third choice tbh ;)

I was sure Rozehnal was a fullback but it seems everyone is listing him as a "pacey centerback" and Beye is a right Back.

But if we're after Baines, this could be fine and dandy

three center halves, two full backs, plus Taylor and the squad players we already have is not a bad start to the transfer window... this is before Ashley announces exactly how much money Allardyce can spend.

say we have to pay £5m for Baines, that's still a back four, a midfielder and a striker for around £20m which is our normal yearly expenditure anyway. The only unknown quantities are Rozehnal and Beye.
