bobbyshinton 59
Change the Sir John Hall stand to. Me bring back the Leazes and Gallowgate. Milburn and Shearer stands maybe or the Tyne Stand and Geordie Stand. Just renewed me season ticket on line what a fuck up system they have, mind the lass in the ticket office was a help. Craig 6702
I still refer to the SJH stand as the Leazes End and the Gallowgate End has never ever been either the Brown Ale or Exhibition Stand in my eyes. Didn't they rename the East Stand after Shepherd at one point?

Didn't they rename the East Stand after Shepherd at one point? That's it in a nutshell. I have always looked upon the stands as erections (oo-er missus) at the respective ends of the ground and NOT as the definitive descriptions of the correct areas of SJP. It will always be The Leazes and Gallowgate ends. I think you're right about 'the new stand' being called after Shepherd a while back. They probably dropped the name 'Shepherd Stand' when they decided 'the new stand' was far too small to truly represent our most wonderful, portly, Chairman! bobbyshinton 59
Remember the vote on the name of man city's new end? it was to be named after famous ex footballers, Colin Bell was everyones' (non city fans that is) favourite. Where do you sit? The Bell end

Once you know what you are required to have it is fairly straight forward. The membership number is on the top right of your application form something like0000000001836. Your paswword is a mixture of letters and numbers, this is where the lass in the ticket office helped me as I had no idea what it was or where it came from. snakehips 0
Thinking about it, I think the original post makes a good point. After all, Sir John Hall (good rhyme) didn't do that much for NUFC to warrant such a memorial to him - premature or not. Re-name it, I say e.g. The Hughie Gallagher Stand or The Snakehips Stand ? To cover both parties we can call it The Flying Scotsman Stand in recognition of both trains and the fact that H.G was Scottish.

Guest alex
Which one is the Sir John Hall Stand anyway? The Gallowgate? I get them mixed up. I think just about everyone still refers to them as the Gallowgate and Leazes Ends anyway.
