That's fine but I have a legacy problem I don't want to spend hours fixing. And aren't mp3s twice as big as WMAs?

There's nothing an iPod can do that my Y5 can't. As for ease of use, mine is drag and drop. Couldn't be simpler.

iTunes automatically puts music I've recently put on my computer onto my iPod... so I don't even need to drag and drop

Y5? Is that a Yamaha or something? Urgh!

As has been said it's a Samsung. Like an ipod nano but cheaper.

Fixed. ;)

Naah, it's the same price. I've got a mini iPod too. I fucking hate it.

I've found iTunes easy to use, easy to organise and easy to update my MP3 player with. I can't think of anymthing more I'd need from s media player, so I don't bother with Windows Media Player or Real etc. The amount of friends who've bitched and moaned about their Zen fucking up has put me off switching from a tidy piece of kit which stores enough music for my hour or so journey a day

... and doesn't ruin the lining of my trousers. ;)

I'm the same, found Itunes perfect for what i need, and how i like my music sorted, can't see how it would cause anyone any problems.

And the Ipod itself has been fine for years, just the odd temperamental moment in recent times, but nothing serious and still going strong. Could do with havign to charge it up less and it lasting longer, but the newer ones are better for that.

I've got far too many mp3s with dodgy ID3 tags that I can't be bothered to change, so iTunes isn't my best buddy. More or less does the job though, if a bit clunkily.

I suppose there was that when i started. However i had a spell between uni and starting work where i had fuck all to do and so i went through all my MP3's and corrected all the info on each of them to what i wanted, for genre, album, artist, title and the like. Did take a while like!

I tend to name the actual files fairly rigidly ("Artist name - Song title") and I know there's software like ID3-TagIT that can do the rest for you, but I never get round to it. I'd love to claim I have other priorities in life, but I'm not even sure I do ;)

Anyone had a whack of the Genius playlists?

Worth a go?

It's decent, gotta put your card details in to access it though.

Already got an Itunes account so that's no problem.

It's taking bloody ages to gather info on my library.

When I add albums do I need to gather info again?
