zico martin 95
Premiership bad boy Joey Barton is in hot water again - his flash Range Rover was towed away by cops for having no insurance. The Man City midfielder, who is in the process of joining Newcastle United, was caught out by a blitz on cars at a shopping centre at Prescot, Merseyside. Barton, 26, is already in trouble for allegedly punching a teammate in a training ground incident. Good grief, havent we got enough of these type of twats? Im optimistic he'll turn into a good buy for us anyway! Edited June 10, 2007 by zico martin
ewerk 31600
That's if the deal doesn't fall through, I can't believe the greedy twat is demanding a £300k "loyalty" bonus from City after the way he has behaved.

Sima 0
Really can't understand how often things like this happen to Premiership footballers. Fucking hell man, remember when Shola was done for having no TV licence? Jesus fucking wept.
Bombadil 0
I got done for having no TV licence a couple of months ago - I was fined £2000 which I still haven't paid. £2000 FFS. I hadn't paid any licence fees for three years though. Edited June 10, 2007 by Bombadil

I'm in Switzerland and the license fees are not that high. The licensing authorities don't often hand out fines either, but apparently a neighbour contacted them about me (why would anyone do that FFS?), hence the ridiculous fine. The former answers the latter, to be honest. They're close enough to Germany to share several of the same traits.
Guest stevieintoon
At a first glance I thought the title of this thread was "Renton turned over a new leaf?" I thought maybe he's a good lad these days None of us know Braton personally, but whenever he's been on TV shows like Goals on Sunday, the thing that's struck me about him is what a really canny lad (for a dipper) he comes across as. It's hard to believe this is the same bloke who puts tabs oot in people's eyes, I wonder if he suffers from mild schizophrenia.

Quite a few people have said when you hear/read interviews with him he often comes across well and even intelligent then he goes and does something mental. Definitely a mixed bag! Guest Albuquerque
IIRC, didn't Terry Mac label Bellamy as a 'little upstart' after Liverpool away this season, and then only recently give an interview to the Ronnie Gill saying Barton will be a top signing? Unbelievable.

Papa Lazaru 0
Terry Mac will say whatever he's told to say. And that as far as i can work out is the sole job he performs to "earn" his money at the club, certainly isn't wasting anytime with coaching and improving players or any nonsense like that! Unbelievable. Different situation though. Barton hasnt yet had a go at the Chairmans son, Manager, Captain, Assistant manager, Terry Mac (whatever he does) or the fans yet. Probably does put Bellamy in the 'upstart' category. Terry Mac was also a far better player than Bellamy will ever be. Think he was saying he was a bit of an arsehole. Fair comment really. Barton has simply attacked two teammates, a scouse kid and said that he thinks the club (Citeh) needs a good kick up the arse. I'll ignore the stuff away from the club that both seems to be quite aept at. Saw Barton on Soccer AM and he came across really well. He certainly has better taste in music than Bellamy, so on that basis I'll give Barton the benefit of the doubt until he does anything at our club. True but we did also tried that attitude with Bowyer and look where that got us! Personally I think Barton wants to play football and wants to play specifically for Newcastle, Bowyer always seemed like he was here only for the money. True and Bowyer had 1 and half good games for us in his time here. Think Barton can be an arse but he seems the type of lad to have a little too much pride to do a half arsed job of anything. Including knocking a teammates head off.
