I do think that Milner can and will fulfill his potential, and who better than Nobby to learn from? He has a year of pretty much guranteed 1st team football at a big club, and under a manager who knows and likes him. I think that should give him a huge help. Also, providing he does come back, he can learn everything he needs to know from Nobby after this season. I mean, Milner has great pace and loves taking on the full backs. The main things he's missing from his game are 1st touch, crossing and picking out a final ball. Things that not many do better than Solano. But probably the only way we could get Nobby was to loan them Millner as they had no time to find a replacement for Nobby so we provided one. As has been said a years experience of regular football will help him and us and him in the long run. The trouble is, if he plays badly for them and loses confidence etc., that is to our long-term detriment as well as their's in the short term.
