khay 10
Newcastle United are lining up a bid for Manchester United defender Wes Brown. The Times says Brown, 27, has one more year of his deal at Manchester United and with Jonny Evans and Gerard Piqu頲eturning to Old Trafford after loan spells, Brown's opportunities may be limited. Brown is understood to be enthusiastic at the prospect of moving to the North East and should be available for less than £5 million.

Geordie Boyo 24
There's no chance of him coming here. The 1st thing BS did was put get rid of Titus to show people players like him were not needed at Newcastle, so why would he want to sign another plank? We can get better and we will. Fop 1
Brown's better than anything we've had recently barring Woodgate IMO. He is a bit injury prone though.

eddie196721 0
A joke of a player, seems to have developed a reputation for absolutely nothing. Its a joke that he played at RB for England the other night.

Well that's not saying much that he's better than what we've had We're in a position to get better players than Brown. I'm not pinning my hopes on 'world class' players, but players that are 'proven' and will really contribute to our squad.

Hadrian 0
Shirley we can do better than top 4 cast-offs. yeah yeah yeah , thats what everyone has been saying all season , the fact that manu chose not to cast him off should tell you abit about people's opinion . even if we'd beat them to the contract , he would have been another top 4 cast off , despite manu wanting to hold onto him ..... Happy Face 29
Hasn't he played just about every game this (league winning) season? He'd hardly be a cast off if he didn't agree terms on that basis.
