Well worth reading - don't know if it's already been posted or not. The lad might have a variety of issues but at least he's doing something to try and sort them out. Fair play to him.

This is worth a look too, he was scolded for his comments but to be fair, when you listen he could have been talking about Newcastle ! (almosts sounds intelligent too)

Supposedly going to talk to the 'ammers before he'll put pen to paper. Anyone signing for them while their Premiership future is still a bit up in the air wants their head read.

Anyone attempting to read Bartons head wants their head read.

Skysports.com understands that Joey Barton has agreed a deal to join Newcastle and will sign a five-year contract at St James' Park.

Despite rival interest from West Ham, the Manchester City midfielder travelled to the North East on Tuesday to meet Magpies boss Sam Allardyce and subsequently underwent a medical.

Skysports.com can reveal he passed the routine medical and has agreed terms with The Magpies.

The transfer now appears very close to completion with the player's agent Willie McKay confident it will go through without any hitches.

"The move is imminent," McKay told skysports.com.

"He has agreed terms and passed his medical. It's a five-year deal."
