Tresor Lomana Lua Lua has hinted he may quit Portsmouth for Spain.

Uefa Cup finalists Espanyol are reportedly interested in signing the Congolese striker.

The 26-year-old has been handed a new deal to stay at Fratton Park but has yet to confirm if he will accept the offer.

The former Newcastle striker has also come under fire from Pompey boss Harry Redknapp for his lack of goals on the South Coast and may now be tempted to ply his trade in La Liga.

"In countries like Spain, a player of my talent would have a team built around them," Lua Lua told The Sun.

"Everyone has special gifts and fortunately I'm one of those players that can do unexpected and unpredictable things - but that is not always appreciated over here."

Seriously though, the arrogant little prick would be lucky to find a Championship side willing to "build a team around him", never mind a decent Spanish team.

His patter sounds like it's come directly from the mouth of his agent though. We should just be thankful he didn't deliver it in the third person.

He's got what I presume to be a regular column in one of the kiddie/teenage magazines - Match, I think - that sounds thoroughly ghost-written, so maybe he's built an entire team of creative staff around him...
