khay 10
Tottenham are weighing up a shock move for Newcastle United striker Michael Owen. The Daily Express says Spurs are ready to meet the £9 million buyout clause that Owen's Toon deal carries. Tottenham boss Martin Jol will watch Owen in action against Brazil this weekend and is now leaning towards bringing the England international to White Hart Lane in the summer. Papa Lazaru 0
They've been rejected by lesser players than Owen, including Parker by the sounds of it, and will be rejected again if they try.
Sima 0
Don't even see why Jol would want him. He's just gave Keane a new contract and it looks like Berbatov will still be there for one more season.

newcastlebroon 0
Owen will stay for 1 more season at least, it's nailed on. He does'nt give a fuck about champions league football, all he care's about is his big fat pay cheque, and as long as we pay it he won't be going anywhere. Gejon 2
Berbatov has just had an improved contract taking him up to £40,000 hasn't he? Can't see spurs paying their best player a 3rd of what Owen would be on.
Rob W 0
Owen may stick it out - he's on good money, they are still picking him for England If Arsenal or ManU come in I think we're sunk but I'm not sure he fancies going to work under RAFA (a man who thought that Craig Bellamy and Crouch were Owen replacements FFS) and there is no space at Chelski Everton, Bolton, Reading, the Boro can't pay the bill Spurs are much the same as SJP and there is the chance of serious investment this summer here stick around until Xmas i think
Dr Gloom 22508
if his form continues as it has been since he came back from injury we'd do well to get £9m for him
luckyluke 2
if his form continues as it has been since he came back from injury we'd do well to get £9m for him Barring 5 or so games last summer he's played virtually no football for a year and a half. I'm not surprised he's rusty tbh.
