Righto for you home entertainment buffs I have a few questions.

Firstly surround sound and DVD. Whats the crack with surround sound? I know its been around for ages but I have never had it but would like it. Whats the basics and whats needed?

Secondly, I have a load of music on my PC and Movies that I wouldnt mind putting on my PC and then been able to watch / listen to them in any room in my house via some sort of network. Again whats needed and how?

Cheers guys :D

A basic 5.1 system shouldn't cost you much, you can get 6.1 and 7.1 now but to be honest 5.1 is good enough, you should be able to get a decent system from £150+.

Most systems are mp3 compatible, so you could slap some music on a DVD and play them on your system, as for network options I don't honestly know.

What you need is a touch screen media centre running xlobby

Then you need a blank wall and an HD Projector. Hook them all up to your PC over a wireless network and you can watch all your downloaded films, series, songs etc in 100inch High Definition!!!
