Why do cats push cushions etc?

My birds cat seems to "fluff" it up as if she getting ready to lay down and it looks like its enjoying it very much whilst she she is doing it. Sometimes lasts for about 30mins

Goes back to the pre-domesticated instincts of making a 'nest' to sleep in would be my guess.

Nah, it's to stimulate the mothers milk.

Means they're content.

Ive been told that, just seems odd

Cat's are odd animals.

No they're not. Perfectly straightforward and uncomplicated.

Yep, you're right. It's dogs that do the go-round-in-a-circle-a-couple-of-times-before-laying-down routine.

One of the neighbour's cats usually comes round to terrorize our two. When he appeared earlier, our little one promptly leapt up in the air and shat herself.

Miserable *twat

*Cat, sorry for saying that but I think you'll agree its the correct word for this situation!

It came out just fine for me petal :D

And RobW's comment doesn't particularly make him miserable - just sick.
