The fact that we wanted Fat Sam straight after Robson, and now with the timing of Roeder's sacking and Fat Sam's appointment in the absence of anything resembling a search for another manager, it is now quite clear that Fat Sam is and always was Fat Freds idea of the ideal manager for this club.

 

After sacking Robson in his own words for failing to capitalise on 3rd with subsequant 2nd and 1st position, Fat Sam is quite obviously Fat Fred's idea of the ideal person to win the Premiership, and has nothing to do with a sensible appraisal of the need for rebuilding or stability or any other excuses that people are making to justify this appointment.

Do you think Allardyce resigned for personal reasons? Why on earth would our chairman choose to meet him in such a high profile location, one which is almost permanently manned by photographers? To make it appear that he is in negotiations now, as opposed to the reality that a deal has been done for weeks and was agreed when he was still Bolton manager (which would make us a target of legal action or at least a bit extra on the compo).

I'm saying it's daft to excuse the appointment of Fat Sam right now on the basis that he is the one to stabilise and rebuild, when quite clearly, that is not the thinking behind Freds appointment, rather Fat Fred thinks Fat Sam is the one to win the Premiership, i.e. he would not have considered anyone better than him, either now, or when he sacked Robson.

Jon you're the one advocating Sam's appointment now as the one for the job due to current circumstances... Would you honestly have been happy had he replaced Robson? What's your take on this other than brushing it under the carpet?

 

Fred's thinking and the fans thinking on this appointment isn't the same in my eye. I could see Fred sacking Sam for achieving the very limit that a lot of other fans think he is capable of, i.e. consistent top 6 finishes.

Well, I need Peasepud to register www.fatsamandfatfredout.com, then I need to gather the support of 50,000 Geordies all pulling in the same direction, then I need to get everyone of them to send a from letter to the club. Then maybe make a banner out of my bed sheets. If none of that works, I have a 7.62 rifle with a sniper scope.
