The Fish 11121
Genuine ebay question from a novice; is there a fool proof way of spotting scams and shysters? I want to buy an Xbox360 Premium and there are a load of "deals" but each and every one has my arse twitching like a rabbits nose. I'm just highly dubious of buying from a totally anonymous source. Then don't. I only buy 2nd hand games from gamestation or game. I dont think i would buy a 2nd hand console. All though saying that my mate bought his 360 on ebay and it works fine. *Touch Wood*. Sima 0
I don't know how you avoid getting scammed on eBay. I mean, it's not as if there is a feedback system in place or anything.

Check the feedback of the seller fish. I wouldn't splash out big money unless the seller had 50 positive feedbacks at least.

Twat. cheers Wacky btw, I know there's feedback and the likes but I dunno.. I'm still not sure about the whole thing, but I'm equally assured of the bargains and good deals to be had. Super_Steve_Howey 0
Is it close? Just arrange to meet and pay when you see the goods. Still might not work though. I also doubt that someone wanting to offload an XBox cheap would have sold lots of other stuff and been given feedback, might just be some daft bint auctioning the ex's stuff. Phone them, email them and use your noggin.

I would get in touch with the seller before buying.

Lazarus 0
it basically comes down to how experienced you are with using ebay. yes theres the feedback system but that can be abused in so many ways its untrue.
