Another striker? come on FFS tight arse! when does the window offically close then? if its 12.00 tonight can we expect much movement tonight ? Optimistic Nut 188
I still think we'll see Solano. Was the Sky interview where he was asked about him done before or after the Owen unveiling?

Optimistic Nut 188
No need to rush for a left-back. If needed (or wanted), we could sign Bernard anytime. Perhaps a trial with a view to a contract.
Guest Sima
That's it, Solano won't come in. Still think other teams have things up their sleeve though.

Something Special 0
Taylor can't as Bramble is injured. 25104[/snapback] If Babayaro gets injured then Ramage should be given a go at LB, im sure he's more capable than Elliott. Otherwise I can't see the lad ever getting a chance.

I remember his first contribution to the game was to give away 3 free kicks in a row.
Slugsy 0
Ramage at left back is a nonesense! you can't expect a player of his experience, who is right footed and a CB to play in the premiership in the specialist role of LB. Yeah Taylor did it a couple of times, but it doesn't mean it was ideal and in fact it really weakens our already weak defence. I just don't understand the mentality that presumes that we can just 'stick' players in other positions to 'fill a gap' and that we will get away with it. TheInspiration 1
Little confused here. I wouldn't put it past us re-signing Bernard. Though if I am right in thinking, he left the club because he was behind Babayaro in the pecking ranks, and now he could be signed, maybe to play ahead of him (though he hasn't played badly this season). Oh well, there's always Michael Ball...
Optimistic Nut 188
The good thing about the Bernard idea is, we wouldn't have to rush a deal together tonight. He could sign anytime as he's without a club.

He's a young right footed centreback who hasn't got prem experience in his own position, never mind asking him to play LB. There should be two players for evey position as Mourinho always says, and they should both be of a quality and level that they can step straight into the team and perform to a good premiership standard. Gejon 2
Isn't Nuggent available for around £1m? looks a very decent squad player to me and could always loan him to a lower prem club with the option to call him back asap!
