Walliver 0
What would people rather have as our 4 strikers next season: Owen, Martins, Shola, Sib or Owen, Martins, Sib, Carroll with money earnt from Shola being spent on a defender?
MrMiyagi 0
See I wouldn't actually have a problem with the lad if he was actually a 4th choice striker. What pisses me off, immensely, is that our manager seems to think he's an indispensable first teamer. Not Shola's fault that he gets picked despite being shit, yet still extremely annoying! Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
Shola should be fourth choice behind Owen, Martins and a target man / physical type. I'd have liked us to go for Ashton or Alan Smith (doubt ManU will sell him now as he seems to be re-establishing himself in their side) or Bent or Nugent. As money is tight and we also need a rightback, leftback, experienced/commanding centrehalf and a midfield playmaker I'd see if Everton would take a cut-price offer for Beattie.
