JawD 99
One that spings to mind. In my old job, got called to HO in London for a meeting to talk about the new years budgets. On arriving, I was told that they had sold the business and my department wasnt part of the deal so it would be shut down. Everyone to be given the push. But, they said I couldnt tell any of the staff or it would effect my own redundancy as the winding down period needed the staff to perform still and they didnt want people to leave straight away etc. Anyway, had to go back and sit with people, knowing they would get the boot while they discussed planning holidays and everything. It was shit. In the end I started telling each of them in private, to get themselves sorted and start looking around.
The Fish 11121
probably the day I found out that my then fiance was cheating on me with a mate of mine. Just felt like the world had disappeared from around me. Took me ages to get over it/her and it still affects me today when I hear certain songs or certain names and the like. I remember getting home pretty upset and my sister (in her ever so caring way) ignored the fact I was not my normal chirpy self and started moaning about her day at work, when I explained what had happened she basically said I was being a silly little kid and worse things happen elsewhere in the world and it was just a stupid crush anyway... this was the girl I was planning on marrying, and my mate.. and I was being silly? the same day I found out my best mate was moving to London and that my Dad was going to be out of the country for the next four or five weeks. Most heart wrenching day of my life, hope I never suffer anything worse. p.s. I've never been too upset when relatives have died, I know I'll miss them but remember them fondly so I don't really "mourn their passing" p.p.s. yes, I realise this makes me a heartless bastard, cold and inhuman, but see the "worst day of my life" above and you'll see why
Kid Dynamite 7355
Nee offence, but thats backwards, most lasses are snakes with tits, you should have booted her in the clout. Lads get grief for cheating but i reckon lasses are worse for it, and usually with someone you know to make it even worse. Lasses come and go but family is there for you no matter what. I suppose everyone is different, it took me being taken for a total mug by a lass to realise this like!
Tom_NUFC 0
Not so much a worst day, but a worst time. Its a long story and I don't want to go into it in detail, because its in the past now and although I think about it, I try to learn from it and move on. Basically, my supervisor at the place where I worked had it in for me, for reasons still unknown to me. I got stressed out and during a weeks' holiday I realised I couldn't take anymore and snapped and ended up being diagnosed with clinical depression and signed off on the sick. I felt lonely because people who I'd knocked around with at school were mostly away at uni. I'd made friends at work, some quite good ones I thought, but once I was on the sick, suddenly none of them would speak to me. That made things so much worse, I'm already thinking what have I done wrong for being singled out at work, and now Im being ignored. It completely did my head in, and I found myself drinking just so I wouldn't feel so low. It never got very serious though, because I saw it happen and realised it was a dangerous road to go down. I can't describe how awful I felt, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

But it's no surprise I've got a pretty cagey reaction to girls these days, I think I've been pretty philosophical about the whole experience

Kid Dynamite 7355
I think im lucky enough not to have a standout day. The day my nanna died was shit but it was expected, i had a shit day when i split up with my longterm girlfriend, i also had a shit week when i got suspended at work and had a grand ripped off my account too. But nothing really life changing.
Radgina 1
I think mine was the day my nana died, she practically brought me up and out of her 6 grandkids I was always the favourite. She was my best mate in the whole world. my lad(who is still with me now) was absolutely brilliant , bless him, I had only been going out with him for about 6 months at the time but he was an absolute rock for me
Isegrim 10049
December 13th 1997: The day my Jorman team ceased to exist because of bankruptcy. It was a slow and painful death. But the realisation that they had played their last ever game was just incredible to bear. And even as there had been little enjoyable about the club it was just unimaginable to look at weekend results with no results worth to look at. The fact that most table still listed the team with 0 points at the bottom of the table made it even worse. The fact that Newcastle didn't do too well under Dalglish didn't help either. So in general 1997 was just shit from the start. It began with Keegan leaving and ended with my Jorman team not existing any more. 1997 should be deleted from history. Fail to see where the misunderstanding is, nor where the rogue 'again' has come from in your post. You'd expect a future doctor to be a little sharper, tbh. I meant that me personally describing in detail events that occured long ago that I have dealt with and moved on from not really that helpful or enjoyable, particularly if it's going to be read by twats like you. Listening to other people's tales of woe is a different matter altogether, especially if working in a professional capacity. Could you please tell me what it is you do so I can constantly make predictable, misinformed and shit jokes about it at every opportunity?
