Tom_NUFC 0 Posted March 31, 2007 Share Posted March 31, 2007 Shearer ready to Rock in new BBC series Alan Shearer has swapped football boots for guitars as he is set to star the BBC’s new celebrity reality series ‘Tonight…I’m A Rock ‘n’ Roll Star’ Former England and Newcastle captain, Shearer will participate alongside other celebrities, including Cricketer Phil Tuffnall, Newsreader Michael Burke, Holyoaks actress Gemma Atkinson and Top Gear’s James May. The celebrities will compete against each other in eight bands comprised of four members – a singer, guitarist, bass player and drummer. Each band will have a captain to guide them along the way, with former Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins and Ian Broudie of the Lightning Seeds already signed up, along with Louis Walsh as one of the four judges who will assess each band’s performances.
