United (£740m) retained top spot ahead of Real Madrid (£528m) and third-placed Arsenal (£466m) who nipped ahead of AC Milan, with Chelsea (£274m) in eighth. Barcelona's Ronaldinho (£15.2m) leapfrogged David Beckham (£14.8m) to become the highest earning footballer. However, Beckham's lucrative move to Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy was not taken into account. ewerk 31639
Looking at the Forbes figures it seems our value has decreased 14% in the past year but that is probably due to the fall in income last season with no European football. Also out debt/value percentage is 46% which seems rather high but I suppose a lot of it has to do with the way the debt is structured. Maybe some of the finance and accounting experts can tell us how healthy that figure is.
