That's the Mazda MX5 surely? Tbh I reckon Gemmill might favour one but probably goes for the good old focus for storage space which can be sound proofed and because it ticks all the boxes on his value for money checklist.

Because Australia is full of so many rednecks and long distances, our infrastructure for electric vehicles is fucked. Hybrids are the logical choice here for the moment, so we thought about moving the HR Holden on and went and test drove a Suzuki Swift mild hybrid. Small battery so the car doesn't weigh another 1000kg, self charging and under 30k for the top of the line. We tend to ride the bike or scooter around town, so we only need a car for longer trips and what is the point of having an expensive car bleeding money in the garage.

The HR is staying for the moment but with the Swift getting 4L/100km we will probably go that way eventually.

Well I'll be driving an electric car soon, when I was a teenager in the eighties watching Alexei Sayle I had a burning ambition to drive a Czechoslovakian car from behind the iron curtain and be the envy of my classmates so we're getting a Skoda enyaq.

We're a microcosm of society. No young blood to replace the aging boomers. Too perpetual or something, and not enough sharks. I can only think of @Dazzler being a meaningful recruit in the past decade!
