Kid Dynamite 7025
After blazing a trail with a Nissan Leaf 6 years ago, I've just ordered a Tesla Model 3 on lease through work. Cheaper to own and run than my 7 year old golf due to the 0% BIK tax rate
Andrew 4748
Thats pretty cool, I had a proper look at one at an event thing earlier this year, they're very impressive. Its sort of a shame that Musk is just such an arsehole in public that it would actually give me pause on getting a tesla...if I could afford one in the first place. ewerk 30602
Teslas look to be an awful lot of money for what you get. Ideally I’d like an Audi e-Tron but not at the price they’re at now.

This thread was one of the lower moments tbh. Definitely a slow news day when Renton thought it was a good idea to fire off this humdinger

The Model 3 looks like a Hyundai Ioniq with a massive iPad stuck on the dash. It isn't a bad looking car but for £42k+ I'd expect a bit more. It may make sense if you're leasing like J69 but I wouldn't be rushing to own one outright.

Gemmill 44866
That's got to be a wild lease payment. Get yourself a Focus like everyone's TT hero has got. Sexy Vignale obv but still just a 1 litre focus. 😎😎😎 This was re the Tesla, not HMHM's Zulumobile. Edited October 12, 2020 by Gemmill

My salary is in the sweet spot for a salary sacrifice lease car as if drops my wage from the 12% pension bracket to the 9% bracket. So I save a big chunk in pension contributions alongside tax/NI. Coupled with the 0% BIK tax for electric cars it's about as cheap as I'll ever get one It will affect my pension marginally when I'm 68 but it's chance to have disappeared by then anyway, if I'm not already dead from the next pandemic. I’m in my early forties, only passed my test 4 years ago (a total fluke) and haven’t driven since. I can say, with a fair degree of confidence, that you’re still a better driver than I am. Renton 21621
When will driverless cars become a reality? My new one has driving assist which nudges you into the middle of the lane etc. In theory you can take your hands off the wheel but no way would I trust it. Also brakes if you get too close to the car in front. I was driving under a metro bridge when a metro went over it, and the stupid cunt of a car slammed on the brakes. Doesn't inspire confidence.
