Jimbo 175
If fit: Lennon........Gerard........Carrick.........Downing .................Bent, D..........Defoe..................... The team has shape and 5 players out of 6 will definitely be motivated. Bent can work the channels and hold it up, Gerard bomb forward, Carrick sprays it around, wingers cross. Easy Do we need a holding midfielder against Andorra ?

We might get some 'incisive passing'

Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
England are without Frank Lampard, who has a broken wrist, so Stewart Downing comes in on the left and Aaron Lennon moves to the right. Ashley Cole returns after suspension and Micah Richards replaces Phil Neville. Shearergol 0
Gol, just admit that Lampard is one of the many weak links in the England squad. He's struggled to do 'it' (it being scoring goals from long range, nowt else) for Chelsea this year nevermind England. He hasn't played well for England since before the world cup, I've always admitted that. However, neither has Rooney, or Gerrard, yet nobody ever mentions that. As for the point about Chelsea, that's utter shit. After Ronaldo he's got the second highest amount of assists in the league. What more do you actually expect of him? Should he be making goal-line clearances, because that's not the type of player he is. Typical of England fans to make scapegoats of players. It wasn't long ago that people were calling for both Scholes and Beckham to be left out the squad. Now everyone wants them back.

The Fish 11101
to be honest though Gol I've NEVER seen him have a good game in an England strip. at least Gerrard and the others have at some point vindicated their selection. For Me Lampard is a great Premiership player but it just simply doesn't translate to the international games. It could be the system... or it could just be that he's not suited to internationals? Watch the world cup qualifiers, in which he was our top scorer, and player of the year. I can understand the frustration with him now, but why him in particular? Drop all of the players out of form if they're gonna drop Lampard. 30 minutes gone, clearly Lampard not playing has turned us into world beaters. 0-0 EDIT: What's with all this long ball shit? Gerrard drops deep to pick the ball up, then plays it long to their defenders. What's the fucking point of it? We may as well put Bramble in the team. Shearergol 0
"only one David Beckham...." Beckham is not the answer though. Putting Beckham in, along with getting rid of the useless shite of a manager, is the short term answer. We miss Joe Cole on such a big scale it's amazing. Whilst I agree that Beckham isn't the answer, we need a captain out there today, Terry has done fuck all to rally the troops, Beckham probably would have had more of an influence, and more than likely would have stuck that freekick in the back of the net. The comment about Joe Cole was spot on too, we definetly miss him on the left.
