Other than extensive scarring, it would be pretty good if that's the only area affected. It's pretty localised and could be treated effectively although healing for 3rd degree is really slow. The problems start when it's much larger areas due to fluid loss from the burned area and massive risk of infection to the tissues leading to systemic spread etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
