Was out last Friday for a meal at the Sky Apple Cafe on Heaton Road and who was sitting on the table next to me...not one but 2 celebrities!

Neil Tenent from the Pet Shop Boys and Ashley the vicar from Emmerdale.

We started singing Pet Shop Boys songs hoping we'd piss Tenent right off but he didn't rise to the bait. Bent bastard!

What the hell were you doing in the Sky Apple Cafe man it's shite.

Having a meal, my mate can only stomach gluten free food and Sky Apple is one of the only places in the toon were you can get this without risk. Most places say they will cater to his dietry requirements then put something on his plate that is bathing in gluten.

Should have seen one of the waiters, the gayest looking man I ever saw in all my years. Was wearing a ladies belly top exposing his middle aged midriff, nearly choked on my mushroom stroganoff!

They're good mates, went to St Cuthberts together. I've met Ashley the vicar at several events, he has another good school mate who I've helped organise events with. Nice bloke, whiff of lavender in the air though.

Belle and Herbs is far superior man :icon_lol:

Gone downhill since change of ownership imo.

That's because it used to belong to my best mate and was named after her cats.

Never been down there and I'm based in the Lipman. Its wierd how the majority of the Lipman is for History, Politics, English, Modern Languages etc, then there's all the arty farty drama types down in the basement.

Celebrity's in Heaton eh? I've seen one or two before.

I once saw Diego Gavilan (remember him) in Spar on Chilly Road

Seen that wifey who used to be on The Bill as well

It's the new Hollywood....even though my sightings were at least 5 years ago
