Ketsbaia 0
1-0 to us. The away leg is going to be a completely different matter though.
geordieshandy 0
I reckon we'll get rolled over tonight, possibly in the style of the Birmingham defeat. I really think this lot will want it a lot more and I don't trust Roeder to make the right decisions now that he's actually got some players to choose from. I don't think he knows what style he wants the team to play in and I'm certain he doesn't know what combination of players will be effective. 1-3. Guest stevieintoon
I'm no Russell Grant, well am certainly not that fat anyway, but I've always considered myself as being a bit psychic. I had a dream/premonition a few nights ago that the final score tonight would be Newcastle 1 AZ Alkmaar 4, I'm sure it was them, it's someone in the near future we're going to lose 4-1 at home to anyway. I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility that it could happen, they beat Sevilla in Spain 3 months ago, which shows you who we're up against. Guest alex
Can't see us keeping a clean sheet which is what we need really.
Isegrim 9911
I am not very optimistic. A draw at best.
donaldstott 0
They've won 10 of 14 games away from home in Holland. only won 7 at home. Suggests they may be a bit handy on the counter.... 0-
Gemmill 46205
I don't really know what to expect from this one. We keep hearing that they're a decent side, but then all the teams we played in the group stages were meant to be "decent" sides, and none were that impressive. If they genuinely are as good as we keep hearing then I think we're on our way out.
Scottish Mag 3
Everyone keeps banging on about their impressive record but for us its something like only two losses in 34 matches in last 3/4 seasons in the Waffa Cup. Regardless of the opposition, thats a pretty good record...
Hatful Of Hollow 0
I'm not overly confident like, i'm expecting a tight match that will be settled by the odd goal, 2-1 to us.
Baggio 0
2-0 to us. We seem to do better against teams who want to play football rather than the likes of Boro and Wigan who are happy to sit back and want us to try and break them down.

We seem to do better against teams who want to play football rather than the likes of Boro and Wigan who are happy to sit back and want us to try and break them down. With Alkmaar playing a typical Dutch attacking wing play I can't see us keeping a clean sheet, especially left back will probably be the key today. Baggio 0
Who are their best players and what positions are they? Shota Arveladze plays up top, played for Rangers before this lot.
khay 10
Any word on putting Duff at left back again if the Zog can manage a full match? At least he is left footed!
Isegrim 9911
Who are their best players and what positions are they? I have only seen a couple of games from them. Arveladze and Koevermans are good up front and the main thread with Arveladze coming a lot from the wings.
Scottish Mag 3
Who are their best players and what positions are they? Arveladzes still banging them in for them I think..
