Guest alex
It is, but he's much more well known as the obssessive media studies student in Dawson's Creek. He get's to shag some nice girls mind, despite being dull as ditch water. Apparently he was interviewed by Dermot O'Leary and he described his acting style as a cross between James Dean and Marlon Brando More like a wooden plank imho. Aye. I didn't see the interview, just O'Leary on about it. Apparently James Van Der Whatshisface was being deadly serious. Dawson's Creek is beyond bad btw, although not so bad it's good. Just so bad it's painful.

Guest alex
I reckon the Viz hit the nail on the head when they described all that US teen angsty stuff as a bunch of thinly-veiled morality plays.

Viz? It's the same with most these foreign dramas and soaps, take Neighbours for instance. And contrast that with Shameless or even Corrie..... Puts me off Australia tbh. Aye, it was in some piss-take questionaire along the lines of 'Are You American?' Edit: I loved Oz btw, but the telly is pretty shocking. The only decent programmes tend to be US/British whereas the home-grown stuff is hilarious. The cop dramas (of which there are many) are akin to The Sweeney. Not in a nostalgic 'Life on Mars' way either. Edited March 7, 2007 by alex

Guest Patrokles
Grease. Now there's a fantastic example of a film that I've seen, but I really wish I hadn't. Apalling I just think its crap, crap songs, boring boring boring film which celebrates 1950s America. Yeah racial segregation and witchhunts - wonderful. Do you like Goodfellas? Aye but its not really celebrating 50s American culture though is it and only the start is set in the 50s anyway. No, it's glamourising the Mafia though. Not that I'm arsed, I still like it. I just think it's a bit odd if you think a film like that is ok then think a nostalgic musical is bad quoting some of the events of the era it's set in as an example. Bet he's fucking apalled by the Sound of Music and its clear Nazi sympathies.

Jimbo 175
I've not seen a single Rocky or Rambo film. Stallone's career has almost completely passed me by. I would honestly advise you to see at least the first of both of those series of movies, First Blood and Rocky are excellent in my opinion.
