Jusoda Kid 1
There'a a squad of about twenty five of us who still drink together regularly, about ten of them I've went right through school with from Infants and the rest I met when starting senior school and continued to socialise with them ever since. I was just thinking about this the other day and there's not one that I haven't known for less than 18 years and some of them I've known for around twent eight years. Quite a few of the girlfriends seemed to find it quite hard to come to terms with the fact that we've all known each other so long and one of them even done her best to try and get her lad to cut all ties with the rest of us because she was jealous that we speak to each other nearly every day....weird. Anyone else got long term mates with jealous girlfriends?
Sima 0
There's a group of about 10 of us, some live away from home but come back regular. Known each other since at least senior school, some from infants. Then there's the lads we drink with in the pub who were all about 3 years below us at school (about another 15) Lasses feel intimidated by the fact we've known each other for so long. Well, that's my excuse anyways. Wacky, are you sure you don't just know all of your "mates" from the chocolate factory? Magma 0
I'm in touch with quite a lot of primary school friends, speak 2 them quite a lot. Lost a bit of touch with my secondary mates.
The Fish 10963
I've lost contact with the majority of "friends" from school and my village. Deliberately on the most part, but some just by neglect. I've kept in contact with the ones who put as much as I did, into whatever kind of friendship we had. sounds pompous, but to be fair I was screwed over by a fair few "mates" and I don't really miss any of them. There's still a couple who I'm in contact with, that frankly I could live without. I stay in touch through habit alone. However, I've a core group of about 5 mates who are thick as thieves and whose other halves find our relationships a problem. those I've know for a mix... some only 3 years or so, others I've known because our folks were friends before we turned up. Happy Face 29
Anyone else got long term mates with jealous girlfriends? Stop thinking about sex! You're always on about it. "Will the girls like this? Will the girls like that? Is it too big? Is it too small?

Guest Toplass-101
Friend A Ive known since playgroup, we went all the way through school together. She is the only one from school who I still see. Known her 32 years or so. Friend B Ive known for 14 years I used to work with her. Friend C Worked with me and friend B, Ive known friend C for over 10 years. Friend D Is the sister of friend B, known her for about 12 years. Friend E Ive known for about 8 years and she is the cousin of friend D. Friend F Has known friend D for over 20 years, but was away in RAF, she came home about 4 years ago and we have been friends since then. Friend D, doesnt often come out, we think this is because of her husbands influence, and when she is out her husband is never off the phone to her, its a bit strange. Meenzer 15716
The gang of us from high school are still very much together, as it were. Plus I run into the occasional reprobate from my primary school days on dubious football forums.
Guest Patrokles
I didn't keep in touch with anyone after high school, didn't keep in proper touch with anyone after University. Mainly because I left the respective areas and it seemed pointless to remain in contact with people I never see. I have friends in other countries from travel, and we're never in touch. The nice thing is that I know if I'm ever in the area, we can pick up where we left off at very short notice. But, no, I don't really have long-term friends in the conventional seeing each other often sense.
Radgina 1
I have two mates I have known since junior school, one I see often but the other has a "jealous" husband who thinks I am a bad influence on her so don't see her quite as much. I have 6 mates who I have worked with for ten or more years and we are quite close ( just arranged a ladies night in the big Metropolis that is South Shields for this friday ) I have quite a lot of lad mates who I socialise with more often than the girls , have known them from anything from 10 to 3 years, and their girlfriends/wives are used to me now but when they were "new" they were a bit hung up on the fact that their lads could be good mates and just socialise with another lass

Happy Face 29
We're a close family. Me and my older brother go to the match with 4 cousins. Age range 17 - 31. A mate and his brother we've known for 12 years from school come with us, and another mate we've known for 17 years. A mate of my cousin (for 6 years) sits close too and joins us often. Outside the football, the same group are joined by a ginger mackem and a non-fan from my Secondary school. I've got a 2 close music mates, one I've known since being born (27 year) who's in a band so I never see any more but will never lose touch with, and his replacement who I took on about 6 years ago and was best man for last year. There's also another lad I've known for 16 years who's like Kramer. Just comes and sits about my house, but never really wants to do much socialising otherwise. Out of all the lasses/wives everyone ever had, only 3 spring to mind that have been able able to remain entirely civil to one another or the rest of the lads. It would really depend on whether they were the sort of person you can trust or not. Since I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with someone I couldn't trust, then I wouldn't have any problems with it at all.
