Food/Drink you've never tasted

Food

Marmite - what's it like and how do you eat it? On toast? Is Vegemite better to start with?

Lamb - I've heard it's quite fatty and therefore chewy. Don't like the sound of that much. How does it tast compared with beef?

Drink

Gin - is it nice? Don't like most other spirits, e.g. Whisky and Vodka.

Marmite - lovely stuff but it's true what the advert says, you either love it or hate it. I have it mainly on toast but i have been known to put it in a sandwich with ham and cheese...

Lamb - Awesome flavour but it is a bit fat. I wouldn't say chewy fatty though, the meat itself is very tender it's just there's a lot of fat surrounding it and therefore it doesn't look like you're getting a lot for your money

Gin - smells like perfume so I personally avoid it.

Sushi is lovely and isn't as bad as you think. When you go somewhere that does proper sushi it is very fresh and doesn't have a strong fishy taste at all. It tastes 'clean' if that makes sense, it just very fresh oh my god so great.

And Vegemite is so much better than Marmite.

As for me, I've never tried Guinness.

Food: Squid

Drink: Newcastle Brown Ale

Can't ever see myself trying squid - it's the thought of my teeth bouncing off it as I try to chew - disgusting. Same goes for octopus.

Never tried monkfish - can't say it looks like something I'd want to try...

Guest Toplass-101

Ive never eaten Pigeon Pie.

and Ive never drank Vodka.

Love G n T, only it has to have a slice of lime in it, and Lamb is my fave meat on a Sunday dinner, lamb chops are lush too.

I used to throw my face up at sushi and then tried it once. Most of the time the fish is cooked (smoked makeral, smoked salmon, tuna) and rice - it's lovely but you need to get 'proper' sushi - cheap stuff is horrid!

Also, at the advice of someone else, tried ginger ale with Jack Daniels as opposed to coke - was lovely :D

Have tried most things however I have never eaten rabbit, not out of choice just purely not had the opportunity.

Squid (or at least calamari) is nice, rubbery but tasty. Sushi is fantastic, lamb really tasty as well.

Drink wise I cant think theres anything Ive not given a go.

I've never tried fugu (puffer fish). Mind you, i dont think i would either as it can lead to tetrodotoxin poisoning which kills about 50 japanese a year.
