Noelie 103
Like all schoolteachers, deluded, stupid and living in a dreamworld. You must be talking about the ones you had because you are obviously deluded, stupid, and living in your own little dreamworld. They taught you well. Noelie 103
I would say he's certainly fcuked off, because I'm damned sure he would prove me wrong if he could. Nah LeazesMag, proving you wrong would be an easy task compared to proving you right. That would be a really hard job, one you can't even do youself. Shearergol 0
such as league tables, when evaluating how much progress a football club makes under new owners, for instance ? Well, perhaps you could point us in the direction of the new Abramovic, rather than Romanov. Like all schoolteachers, deluded, stupid and living in a dreamworld. Oh - and ManU have been saddled with massive debt, which MAY catch them up when their top quality manager - the man who has gave them all their success - calls it a day. Surprised you didn't realise that, as you are a clever schoolteacher. Have Chelsea or Manchester United made progress on the field of play? You asked for an examples and I gave you them. After all, in your words "what happens on the pitch is all that counts" Despite being in the profession for over a decade, I have not yet met all schoolteachers. Maybe this is your deep rooted angst coming through again. Sometimes it manifests itself in bigotry, others just plain bloody mindedness. You seem to have the club at heart but nowt between your ears. Shame. Nb: Bloody good holidays the 'deluded' get though. So I doubt any of us mind your opinion. Sadly, I said to you recently - when you told me you were a schoolteacher - that I had met some teachers who were sound and pretty straightforward, so don't actually judge them all to be the same at all. However, since then I have got the feeling you are one of the deluded, stupid ones who live in a dreamworld. You should learn to read, or at least remember. You are still only quoting 2 clubs. Thus missing the point, which is that we have done and are doing better than most. Are you so thick you think that everyone can be like ManU and Chelsea simply by following their "blueprint" ........ and being taken over ? The man who has gave ManU their success has been at the club for 21 years, long before their takeover 3 clubs in the premiership who have been taken over are doing better than us (Man U, Chelsea, Portsmouth). 2 clubs in the premiership who have been taken over are doing worse (Villa and West Ham). Since being taken over, Villa are actually 3 places better off. Portsmouth are 8 places better off. Only West Ham have really suffered. Can you give me examples of where takeovers have been unsuccessful, apart from West Ham?
Baggio 0
Why has the West Ham takeover been unsuccessful? The've now got an ambitious chairman who backs his manager, not like the old one who sold locally born England Internationals.

Can you give me examples of where takeovers have been unsuccessful, apart from West Ham? you're so naive. ManU have always done better than us. Maybe you should start looking for a new Abramovic, if you want to talk about Chelsea. Perhaps you could start at Hearts ? I realise being realistic will be difficult for you. In answer to your question - I give you.........Newcastle United, who moved from one foot into the 3rd division to regular european qualifiers. I suppose the whole country was laughing at us last night again ....... I also give you Leeds [3 times], Everton [twice], Blackburn, Southampton,Birmingham, Forest, West Ham, Smoggies, Charlton, Fulham, Ipswich, Norwich, Leicester [3 times], Sheff Wed [twice], Man City [twice], Wimbledon, Coventry, Cardiff, Luton, Bradford City [twice], QPR, Oxford........to name some. Is that enough. ALL of these clubs have played in the top league during the past few decades, finished above us for periods or won a domestic trophy, and not one of them has matched our european qualification and our crowds, during the past decade. Why is that do you think ? Keep believing the grass is always greener my friend, and changing a board will improve you. Those people who booed Bobby Robson when we finished 5th ought to have thought "be careful what you wish for", as they stupidly believed that the only way was up and such a big club as Newcastle couldn't possibly do worse. The same deluded arseholes will be booing now no doubt. Lastly, unless this owner of Portsmouth spends money Abramovic style, they won't be above us for too long ......... funny as fcuk that one, I had to leave it until last. I don't think you will find any Portsmough supporter who would swap their last decade, ground, fanbase or anything they have for what we do. People who buy clubs like this do so because they are cheap, because they have done shit over the years, which is exactly what we did under the regime before the Halls and Shepherd, when they couldn't even raise 2.5m quid with a share issue. Shearergol 0
Why is it all about the previous 10 years to you? Seems a little irrelevant seeing that Portsmouth weren't taken over 10 years ago. Perhaps we should ask if they'd swap places with us at the moment? You have NEVER answered the following question; please attempt it now. When our average drops below 5th, have the board started failing?

Perhaps we should ask if they'd swap places with us at the moment? You have NEVER answered the following question; please attempt it now. When our average drops below 5th, have the board started failing? the principle being, of course, that replacing a board doesn't necessarily mean improvement. It has a better chance of succeeding if you are doing shit, but it continues to escape you and your chums we aren't doing shit, in fact we are doing quite well. This principle is of course, also irrelevant to the time and period. Why should it make any difference ? For the record, I'm quite happy with my career, life and education, neither you or anyone else knows the position I am in.
