Steve 0 Posted March 3, 2007 Share Posted March 3, 2007 I'm bored, broke and at home on Friday night and I was checking out the UK shit town thread and thought about the shitty places to go out around the world and here we are. 1. Adelaide, Australia The most boring city on the face of the Earth. Even on a Friday or Saturday night the place is dead, and everything either closes early or worse, is full of South Australians. No decent pubs or clubs, no decent chicks to look at and SA beer is god awful. 2. Christchurch, New Zealand Much like Adelaide, is a little town that thinks it's bigger than what it is. Going out in the tourist extreme sports places on the south island is great, but Christchurch is just a boring wannabe big city. Pales in comparison to Wellington which surprisingly is a fantastic night out, mainly because of all the student type places. And Auckland is fantastic, if I had to move to NZ that's where I'd go. Just avoid Christchurch. 3. Moscow, Russia Firstly, going out at night scared the crap out of me because I had enough hassle from the police during the day, at night I had no idea how bad it'd get. Anyway, the bars and stuff typically start off quite cheap until you get a small group of you happening that are foreigners and then magically their prices go up by three times or more. At the start of the night pints started off at about 50 Rubles (just under £1). This was at a pretty posh place too, you can find cheaper beer around, but at the start of the night there was only two of us. After an hour four other met us and just like that they were charging us 200 Rubles per pint. Just for being foreigners. Wankers. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The place is like DOdge f*cking city. I had more fights to nights out ratio there than even Aldershot. Christ I was a wanker and a half when I was a young Squaddie.
