snakehips 0
How important is tomorrow's game to you and NUFC? Personally, I can't stand them. I can't stand their town. I can't stand their shitty accent. Apart from Gibson and Woodgate, I can't stand a fucking thing about their club/team. I think this is gonna be a real tough game for us and predict 1 -2 to them Edited March 2, 2007 by snakehips

David Kelly 1280
I don't like them (they're a piss poor club with piss poor fans that have nothing going for them but a good chairman) but it's nothing close to a propper derby to me and I wouldn't really be any more pissed off to lose to them than I would be to lose to any other pile of shite. sweetleftpeg 0
Not a derby, never will be. Put it this way, this game means far more to them than it does us. To be honest, I depise them more for the fact they think it's a derby more than anything else. We have one derby, against the mackems and the mackems feel the same about us. Dr Gloom 22508
i think we might win this one, probably by the odd goal. an unconvincing win is my prediction.

zico martin 90
We will win. But i have never been arsed about the boro like. Not a Derby, They are an absolute age away too.... gotta feel for them though, must be awful not to have proper rivals. Perhaps it would be best for everyone if they got relegated a few times again so they could play darlington and hartlepool!

Papa Lazaru 0
Its not a derby but because of the wankers who support them and the whole game cancelling fiasco, its agame i like to win more than most, but nothing close to the mackem games. I think we'll win a relatively close match, 2-1 or 3-
JJ 0
Personally I hate the bastards. Nothing really to do with a rivalry. Just hate them. Like Spurs. Hardly a derby but I despise them. I hope we cane them.
norm 0
2-1 to us try as I might, I just can't seem to hate these bastards anywhere near the mackems, not a derby at all........just called one to sell more papers and shit!

Tom_NUFC 0
I dislike them, but I don't hate them. It's NOT a derby. You know what it like when we play the Mackems - that nervous sick feeling regardless of how well we're doing and badly they're doing (or vice versa on the odd occassion), the feeling that defeat is unthinkable/unbearable, the knot in your stomach. None of that is there for me when we play Boro, it just feels like a normal game. Maybe its a bigger game for NUFC fans who are from further south in the region, but as a Tynesider, I think the general consensus is that its not a derby. I think Boro would love it to be considered a Derby game. They hate us, but generally its an unrequited hate. Its something that us and the Mackems agree on, that the only derby involving either of us is NUFC-SAFC. Boro doesn't figure.
Tooj 17
It's weird as well with those fuckers, as they seem to regard our game more of a derby than versus the Mackems despite the obvious differences in location.

Perhaps thats got something to do with the exaggerated accents that Vic and Bob do like, but I find it quite funny.
The Fish 11065
I think you'll be hard pressed to find a Newcastle fan who actively tolerates Boro' but similarily I doubt many people have that burning animosity towards the teweside club because of any "derby" misgivings. they've a supportive chairman and some decentplayers, but they've a small club mentality which burns my bollocks. playing music after a goal is tantamount to corpse-raping if you ask me.
