Its not the worst but I do not like paying Edinburgh prices..

Edinburgh should not come close to being mentioned in this thread. It's worth paying extra.

No place is worth paying the best part of a fiver for a vodka....

Whereabouts would that be? I estimate that pubs there charge about 10% more than Newcastle for what I drink. The place has a canny vibe though, from an outsiders point of view.

Edinburgh's got some canny pubs like. Can be a bit snobby but then again, Newcastle can be posey as fuck. And I reckon some of the bars down the Quayside are on a par with Covent Garden price-wise. Even though they're gash.

York was shite as i recall

went in to some poser bar called Orgasmo or something, it was my round when the bill arrived i was far from cumming

York is brilliant for pubs. Another daft nomination when you consider some of the shit tips around the UK!

Scunthorpe. Horrible.

Scunny is actually quite a good night out, considering the size of town. Where did you go?

LOads of shit pubs, I remember one called the Britannia and there was a rat running round when I was having a shite.

The thing that made Birmingham absolutely shit for me was you felt intimidated wherever you went.

Birmingham is pretty horrible.

Detmold. Nothing good to say about it.

Germany doesn't have a real pub or night life culture anyway. I reckon Lemgo would have been a bit better.

Only time I was in Lemgo was their intensive care unit.

Wolverhampton

Carlisle

Lowestoft

I like Carlisle

You like a non-Newcastle place? :lol::D

I like lots of non toon places, besides it's crawling with Newcastle fans. It doesn't matter where you are it's what you make of a place anyway. If you're a boring twat, I'm sure you'd find Las Vegas boring and shite too. Pontefract is pretty shite too, stopped off there years ago for a night out after Derby away, in the days before I had contact lenses. Left my glasses on the bus, and I am pretty short sighted, this bird looked gorgeous who I was talking to it was only when I got off with her I realised she had a lot in common with John Aldridge :icon_lol: , it was a shame cos she could've been quite fit, but I Pontefract was shite.

kingston upon thames (where i used to live)

full of namby pamby self interested wankers and plenty of charvers.

I imagine a night out in Uxbridge would be similar. Remember going on a course once and half of the Uxbridge office was there. Every night in the bar it was just loud falseness from the lot of them, then the next morning the dining room was just filled with chatter about how "faaaacked" they were and how they'd had "like half an hour's sleep or samthing". Arseholes.

now where the folks live (berrylands) there is a great little pub called the berrylands (sic).

i'm now in weybridge and its even more full of toffee nosed self interested cunts.

good places to go for me include leeds ( i love it there), newcastle, bournemouth and brighton are all good.

highgate is an interesting night out, there are quite a few actor friends of mine that go there ( note none of them are good actors!)

chester-le-street

A hole of epic proportions. I've heard Studio's closing down so when I have to go there the only choice is nightclub wise is Gravity (So called because you stick to the floor).

I know it's not strictly a town but Concord is like a mix between Shameless and The Hills Have Eyes. The last time I went their was on Friday for my mates birthday. I managed to escape early on in the evening but Definitely Maybe (remember him  ) was stuck their all night. His description the next day was simply 'scariest place in the world'.

Studio isnt shutting down, someones fibbing to you. And mate, that gravity joke was doing the rounds before it even opened its newly refurbished mirrored doors!

My dad used to be a bouncer in Chester Le Street a long time ago.

Seeing t00nraider brought those repressed memories back to the surface. I'm sorry but Torquay is a pretty crap night out too.

Depends what you want i suppose. There are some very good eating places in town. The touristy bars and clubs by the harbour are expensive and the clubs there are full of kids, but like anywhere, there are some very good pubs to be found, especially the ones that have live music :D

'Grockles' tend to head for the harbour because at night its lit up looking 'pretty' with many bars and clubs.

:icon_lol:

Sorry, but ooh arrr, that bee funnayyy.

Sorry, but thats what they're called here
