sammynb 3353
Young Ones was great for its time but does come across as terribly dated now. Not its fault that comedy's moved on in the meantime - in a way, the fact that it was a blueprint for a lot of later stuff is a huge compliment but also very much the problem with it. University Challenge episode is still fantastic though, as mentioned. I agree completely its aged badly but its still funny in much more parts than just the Bambi episode. My favourite was the party one. The scene with Rick with the mousey telescope is one of the funniest of all time. Oh Warlock it's you. Come on in Neil man and take the tit off ya heed. It's dated but there was fuck all like it at the time and as meenzer and kcc mentioned it set the standard for which others have developed further. The punk of sitcom is so true. What was the shite with Julia Sawahla playing an Australian barmaid? Edited March 15, 2007 by sammynb

Who is incidentally a public schoolboy twat who likes to take the piss out of the working class.

Well besides the fact I'd like to show Julia a true 'stralian accent it has to be the worst english comedy ever, factomundo.
