bobbyshinton 59
Going to London on the 14th for business. Decided I would take Mrs S take a trip round the smoke on Thursday, show on Friday and lo and behold NUFC are playing on the saturday at Charlton. Cushty, organised flights back for Sunday. Applied for match tickets so money is in the post (gone). Now find out (yesterday) the fucking match is on Sunday now Match kicks off 13.30 check in at Stansted opens 17.00 Flight 19.00 question; is it doable? Liverpool street train station, does it have a left luggage facility. Do no not want to take the 3 piece to the match. help

sweetleftpeg 0
I expect the station will have somewhere to lock your luggage up. Other than that, I can't help you.
Guest alex
Btw Bob, I just had a thought. Could you not check-in online, meaning you just have to drop your bags off, rather than check-in properly at the airport. Should save you a bit of time. Meenzer 15869
If it's only a domestic flight, you'll have until 18:15 or so to check in, presumably? Trains leave Liverpool Street for Stansted every half-hour on the half-hour, to the best of my knowledge, and take about 45 minutes - so you'd probably need the 17:00 to be absolutely sure. Charlton to Liverpool Street... TfL Journey Planner reckons it's doable in under an hour with various rail/bus or bus/tube combinations, but you'd have post-match traffic to deal with plus the general confusion of London. Unless you left a few minutes early I suppose. I think Liverpool Street has left luggage, but I bet it's pricey.
sweetleftpeg 0
Find a phone box and ring in a bomb scare. That should delay it long enough to get there.
Meenzer 15869
Trains leave Liverpool Street for Stansted every half-hour on the half-hour, to the best of my knowledge Tell a lie, they've improved - every quarter-hour now. Services on that Sunday: 16:40 16:55 17:10 (anything later and you're pushing it)
Isegrim 10017
Find a phone box and ring in a bomb scare. That should delay it long enough to get there. It would probably also delay his departure from London for a couple of years anyway... He should easily get the 19:00 flight sometime in 2009. spongebob toonpants 4183
Get a minicab, it should only cost about £40, just find a local one where you can store your bags

spongebob toonpants 4183
Its just by the Blackwall Tunnel so its only a 35 mile journey though. Avoids going back into London completely
Guest Patrokles
It's definitely do-able. Maybe you'll have to slope off out of the match on 80 minutes to give yourself some breathing space though.
