My dad works away 6 months of the year, and is on holiday every month he's home (tax-related, I suspect), so I don't see him all that much. But other than that, no problems. HHmm maybe, to be fair, I'd say I was not very thoughtful rather than fundementally selfish, I do have elements of selfishness but I do my best to snap out of it when I can, although I do see traits of my father in me I do try and irradicate them as soon as they are recognised. Yeah sorry mate I was just parahphrasing from memory. It's interesting stuff like as I can start to see my parents' influence in me as I get towards the three and zero. Gemmill 47084 Posted February 26, 2007 Share Posted February 26, 2007 Thankfully my mam and dad are both spot on, but I've got mates who talk about their parents and it's amazing some of the things their parents will say/do - nasty hurtful shit, and it seems totally alien to me that someone could have a relationship like that with their parents. When you think about it though, you tend to have so much in common with your parents; character traits, personality, interests etc. I guess it either drives you mad and you don't want to spend time with each other or you get on like a house on fire.
