Could be just the thing for the kid, getting to play alongside a great player who might compliment his game. And Ameobi could do well out of it as well. Shearer will not play 40 games this season, we can't play 4-5-1 with Owen in the side, so Shola will get a few chances to partner Owen this year. When Shola and Shearer play together its a disaster. However whilst its definite that Shola is better away from Shearer, whether he will be good enough is an entirely different question.
