That West Ham fan who was interviewed on Sky at the beginning of the season saying they would get in the Champions League must be feeling a bit sick. Poor sod. I dont mind West Ham.

Fulham 1 Man Utd 2

Charlton 4 West Ham 0

Liverpool 4 Sheff Utd 0

Middlesbrough 2 Reading 1

Good results for us especially Boro beating Reading, all we need now is for Watford to take something off Everton.

We could get him on loan like Liverpool have done with Mascherano.

Whoever owns tevez contract will want at least £15 million for him.

On 31 August 2006, Kia Joorabchian's involvement with Corinthians looked to have resulted in the club's biggest stars, Javier Mascherano & Carlos Tevez, being loaned out to West Ham; instead it was confirmed that West Ham had in fact signed the players on a permanent deal, not a loan basis. All other details of the transfers were not disclosed. On September 1, 2006, the day after Javier Mascherano & Carlos Tevez made a permanent move to West Ham, the club announced the opening of "exploratory discussions" over a possible takeover, reportedly by a consortium fronted by Joorabchian. Discussions ended with the confirmation on 21 November 2006 that Eggert Magnússon had succeeded in a rival bid for the East London club.

Apparently he's owned by West Ham.

In a 4-1-2-1-2

Def. mid: Emre

Right wing: Dyer

Left wing: N'Zogbia

Att. mid: Tevez

Strikers: Owen, Martins

Hmm, probably a bit too attacking minded, but I think it could work especially at home against teams outside the top 6.

Anyway, the reason I mentioned him was that if we decide not to go for a targetman a la Ashton but a creative centreforward a la Beardsley, I think Tevez would be ideal...

Not sure how correct that is, didn't the FA investigate West Ham as their contracts were owned by a 3rd party? Also took them ages to look into the deal taking Mascherano from West Ham to Liverpool.

EDIT

Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan wants relegation rivals West Ham United to be docked points, if found guilty of breaching Premier League regulations.

Both West Ham and Portsmouth could have a case to answer after Premier League officials reportedly sent letters out to all 20 top-flight clubs reminding them of rule U18.

The regulation prevents clubs from signing players owned by a third party who could have the 'ability materially to influence a club's policies or the performance of its teams'.

In West Ham's case, Argentinian duo Javier Mascherano and Carlos Tevez are owned by MSI, while Manuel Fernandes, who played for Portsmouth on loan in the first half of the season, is partly owned by a third party.

Chairman and chief executives of all 20 Premier League clubs will meet in London on Thursday when the issue is expected to be discussed.

An investigation could then be launched by the Premier League and any breach in rules could lead to guilty clubs being docked points.

And Whelan, whose Wigan side are five points clear of 18th placed West Ham, has called on any offending clubs to be punished.

Whelan told the Daily Mail: "If anyone has broken the rules they should have points deducted."

On 17 January 2007, he moved to Liverpool on a loan deal for the remainder of the 2006-07 season with an option to make the deal permanant in the summer.[4] FIFA approved the deal on 31 January 2007 after initial worries due to Mascherano having played for two clubs in the current season. However, although Liverpool submitted his registration for the team before the time of the transfer deadline, and on the 10th February added Mascherano to their Champions League squad and gave him the number 20 shirt, [5] England 's Football Association did not immediatly announce whether it would allow Mascherano to play for Liverpool this season.[6] Eventually, on February 20th 2007, Mascherano's move to Liverpool became official after the Premier League accepted Liverpool's request to register the player at Anfield.[7] It is widely reported to be an 18 month permanent deal, though a fee and/or other arrangements are as yet unclear [8] but any fee is likely to go to Kia Joorabchian's MSI organisation [9]. Mascherano made his debut for Liverpool against Premiership new boys Sheffield United on 24th February 2007. He was a commanding presence throughout in a 4-0 victory and his tackling and link-up play was widely credited.
