Fop = the new HTT? :)

I just don't like misinformation much.

(and it's not like it is my opinion, it's very easy to read up on this from a wide range of sources, and as I've said it is very interesting too)

;) I'm not bloody Chemical Ali now am I?

when I said "Warriors all" I was referring to the Spartans and when I used the term "Professional" I meant soldiers rather than slave conscripts.

you shouldn't take it too literally Fop, I already admitted I'm no expert on this what-so-ever.

shut up alex, before you start, just shush

:)

How argumentative is Fop man? If we can somehow get him and Renton arguing about something, we could shift the thread onto a dummy forum away from here, and we'd never see or hear from the two of them again.

I wonder what Fop's views are on Liverpool? ;)

I never said you were Chemical Ali (although I guess you mean Comical Ali? Misinformation as opposed to genocide?).

And I don't think you were doing it deliberately (as a Comical Ali reference would suggest?).

But it is pretty wrong never the less, and I take issue with the incorrectness, not you personally.

Aye logic and reasoning, bane of humanity they are, I'm so embarrassed to have being caught using them.;)

What do you suggest then? Mystic 8-ball and a Ouija board to make all decisions?

Or "Baghdad Bob", as those amusing and culturally aware Americans insisted on calling him. Easily the worst aspect of the whole Iraq campaign.

Well you had to admire him in a twisted way.

It takes someone pretty special to say that there are no US forces in or anywhere near Baghdad when there were two US tanks clearly visible over his shoulder. ;)

You mean giving him a nickname was the worst aspect of Iraq?

Yep. The Americans giving him a really, really, really shit nickname was an unparalleled atrocity.

Saw this today.

Was alright, not as good as I expected really and seemed quite short. The big screen made it much better though, if i'd watched it on the tele it wouldn't have been half as good.

Saw it the other day - my thoughts exactly.

  • 2 weeks later...

I finally got to see it tonight because I came to Australia at the worng time. The movie was released here about a week ago because we are behind the rest of the world like normal. There are only two words needed to describe it:

FUCKING AWESOME.

Glad you liked it, but could have been so much better in my opinion.
