dead car battery

Forgot to turn my lights off when i got home now my battery's flat , Got a charger but can't remember if its Black (Negative) first on negative then red?

 

Right or wrong :D fuck taking the battery out

1) If possible, remove the battery leads (see ‘Maintaining your battery’ above out for guide to removal and refitting). If this is not practical, disconnect the negative (-) cable, first checking that you have stereo security codes and those for any other equipment affected by power loss.

 

2) Consult the battery charger’s instructions to ensure that it is suitable for your car—s battery and is set correctly. Fit the charger’s red clip to the battery’s positive (+) terminal and the black clip to the negative (-) terminal. Connect the charger to the mains and switch on. A green light or other tell-tale signal should show. If nothing happens, switch off the charger at the mains and check that the leads are correctly attached to the battery.

 

3) Once charging is complete, a second light or (depending on model) other tell-tale sign will show. Disconnect the charger from the mains and remove the cables, starting with the black lead. Reinstall and / or reconnect the battery.
