His fellow villagers wanted shot with shit tho (the adults that is) the ignorance was that bad. Really were almost medieval in their outlook and beliefs. Aye its a bit sad that some of the world still live in the dark ages, pouring chicken blood over him etc etc It was more the change in them when he came back as 'normal' tbh. All of a sudden perfectly willing to accept him. I spose in some ways it was a psychologists wet dream-it provided an unadulterated insight into people's fears about things they perceived as being 'different' to themselves.
