Shearergol 0
He's a fucking loud mouth isn't he. Agreed with most of what he was saying tonight though
GeordieMessiah 2
Looked quite an interesting programme actually...will probably watch the rest. Was it just me, or did the sight of Jeffrey Archer sidling up Jennifer Ellison and saying "wouldn't you fight him off" seem a bit sleazy? Wondering how long it'll be before Collymore loses his rag completely with people implying that he has a better appreciation of the defendants' perspective than anyone else... luckyluke 2
Quite disappointed that the BBC have sunk to this level tbh. Didn't watch it on principal...the idea of Jeffrey Archer in a jury...

Guest alex
Managed to watch about 30 seconds before feeling an overwhelming urge to change channels. Was it as big a parcel as it first appeared?
Jusoda Kid 1
I quite like archer for some reason seems decent enough but slimey at the same time. Liked it when he asked the ann summers bird "do you mind if i ask you something crude?"

Was it as big a parcel as it first appeared? Thinking about it a bit more, it's more a "study" of celebrity social dynamics than it is a reflection on the judicial system, i.e. it's the Beeb's take on Celebrity Big Brother. You just have to look at the composition of the jury consisting of the likes of Archer, Portillo, Megaman, Collymore, Jacqueline Gold, Honor Blackman, Patsy Palmer, Jennifer Ellison to see this programme for what it really is. Yeah, it is a parcel.
Happy Face 29
Stan Collymore is a prick like. Him and Super Bomberman saying "you can't put your own viewpoint on it" then saying "I've been in this situation so I know best." Wankers. Yeah, it is a parcel. I've found it fascinating. The previous version without celebs was very good, but only lasted one night and offered no insight into the characters on the jury. This version though provides context for the majority of jurors and makes plain how they bring their own prejudice to the table, how they're able to dominate a discussion and force their opinion (or be swayed) and how important it is to not be swayed by pressure if you're in this position, but by convincing reconsideration of the facts. Only The 12th Man has been a better cautionary tale on the importance of trial by jury and how seriously it should be taken by EVERY member. If some heat readers were swayed into viewing it because Tinhead's bird is in it, all the better. ....and Portillo impresses me more and more every time I see him. Take away a political agenda and he's a very intelligent, measured bloke. Henry Fonda if you will. Did you watch anymore after thinking it was alright (as stated above)? Or stop watching because others ridiculed the celebrity factor which makes it all the more fascinating?

Happy Face 29
Already answered your question over on N-O. Since I don't know what anyone has been paid for appearing, and can find no details of it, it's not something I've considered in viewing. I find Archer showing his warm-hearted side and giving away money on ITV as part of a gameshow that manages somehow to be less difficult and entertaining than Deal or No Deal far more offensive, and that's without my lisence fee paying for it.
