Good to see we're setting our sights high. ;)

not a "trophy" player, so people should be happy

Would you be happy with his signing, Leazes?

is it a "trophy signing" or a "planned signing"

It would be a "shit signing"

so you prefer a "trophy" signing now ??

What if its a "planned trophy" signing ?

<_<

Yes that is EXACTLY what I said ;)

The thing is, whenever Leazes makes a fair point, it tends to be obscured by his reputation.

And which of his points has been fair?

Not sure, to be honest. I never read his posts.

If this is Roeder's idea of planning then I'm glad he usually doesn't bother.

ah, but its a "plan". And so long as its a "plan" <_< thats the main thing, as we never "plan" like every other club does ;) The "plan" brings guaranteed success, as every other club in the world bar us has been more successful than us because they have a "plan"

I don't think you're quite getting the hang of this whole "plan" thing. A plan is only beneficial if it is a good, well thought out plan usually coming from the top such as those of Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool or Bolton. If you want bad plans then look at Leeds, Charlton, West Ham or Middleborough. For no plan see us, and where has our lack of planning got us in the last three years?

I think you don't get the hang of this "plan" business.

Good "plans" = good managers = good "plans"

Bad "plans" = bad managers = bad "plans"

Good "plans" and good managers equal winning titles, cups, qualifying for europe , promotion if you are in the lower leagues.

Bad "plans" and bad managers equal years fighting relegation, half full stadiums, neve playing in europe, selling your best players, getting relegated, not getting back up, never challenging for promotion in the lower leagues etc etc

Every single person who has mentioned "plan" on here, has not distinguished between "good plan" or "bad plan", just "plan". Quite simply, the good manager bring a good strategy and judgement, and the bad manager brings trouble and struggle. And you don't qualify for europe more than everyone in the country bar 4 over the span of a decade, fill a stadium, buy major England players, and attract trophy winning managers, without doing something right.

Likewise, no club expands the capacity of their stadium, and builds a new training academy, without having a long term "business plan".

But keep making things up and say the club haven't done this if you like, thats your prerogative. Unfortunately, its incorrect.
